Perrie Louise Edwards is a singer, music writer and an activist for women's rights and the fight against breast cancer. She became a member of the 4 piece girl group, Little Mix, after the group won the XFactor in 2011.
Perrie Louise Edwards was born on 10 July 1993, and raised in the Whiteleas area of South Shields. She is the daughter of Debbie Duffie and Alexander Edwards, who are both singers. She attended St. Peter and Paul RC Primary School, and Mortimer Community College in South Shields, and later transferred to Newcastle College, where she received a BTEC in Performing Arts. Perrie lived in Hamilton, New Zealand for two years as a teenager. On 11 December 2011, Little Mix were announced as the winners, the first group to win the programme. Edwards has released six albums with the group, DNA (2012), Salute (2013), Get Weird (2015), Glory Days (2016), LM5 (2018) and Confetti (2020). Perrie Edwards is also the winner of 2 Brit Awards as well as other achivements and honorable awards (like Best Pop at the EMAs 2020) with Little Mix.
